Quality apps for Psychological and Behavioural therapy are lacking on the Google Play Store. Those that do exist are costly, and the feature set/design doesn't match what professionals need. This is particularly true of interresponse timers.

When I was working as a behavioral therapist, I needed an app to track my student's interresponse time. I also needed to track on-task time for time-dependent tasks like cleaning or homework. The closest I found was a stopwatch.

That's why I made Interval Timer 2. When you first enter the app, you are greeted by a screen where you can input a name.

Tapping on the name allows you to input behaviors you want to track.

This brings us to the final functional screen. It includes a counter that keeps track of elapsed hours, minutes, seconds, and tenths of a second.

When you stop the timer, it automatically saves a record of the date/time and duration of the behavior between start and stop. This way, you can track this behavior over separate intervals. When you need the information in a spreadsheet, the app can generate a CSV file you can open in any spreadsheet application or program you prefer.

The app also has a theme selection screen, allowing you to choose from a number (10 at the time of this writing) of theme options. This includes one theme that is nearly all-black, which is excellent for battery saving on OLED devices.

One review shows this app in use in an unintended way. The reviewer uses the app to track his own on-task time working for clients. This allows him to bill the exact correct amount and produce a record for the client to see on-task time.

I will be updating this app with new features upon request. I want it to work for your needs as much as my own. I am keeping the costs low ($2.00 CAD) to make sure it is affordable for parents, teachers, and therapists alike.

If you like this app or have a suggestion, please feel free to rate it or send me a message. I try to respond as soon as possible.
